The different types of armour

There are different types of armour each boot, and you can have some mage or artificer id it and find out which ut is this by looking at the descriptions below. The information about AC and weight might no longer be correct because Balance have had a go at it.

Dodger Armour

Armour piece id: You see a small nimble looking gnome handing over a large sum of cash to buy a suit of extra light but high quality armour.

Each piece weighs 1 bottle, allowing for far greater ability to dodge/carry. Note that you must have a full set for the armour to be in effect.

Drunkard Armour

Armour piece id: You see a blindfolded woman enchant this armour for her clearly drunk adventurer brother.

Armour sobers you up faster, allowing you to drink more than usual. You do not need to have a full set for the armour to be in effect.

Equine Armour

Armour piece id: You see a gnome grind some herbs into a paste and then immerse this into it. You know for some reason that the herbs are irritants for centaurs and equines.

Better AC against horses. Also supposedly, you get better AC when riding a horse.

Fire Resistance Armour

Armour piece id: You see a gnome gloss some sort of clear looking liquid over this. It sets hard.

Gives +115 (possibly greater) to fire resistance. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC. If you use each piece separately, you will receive +10 resistance per piece.

Human Armour

Armour piece id: You see an unknown magician cast enchantments over this, drawing power from a tub of what is obviously blood.

Better AC against humans. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Indoor Armour

Armour piece id: You see a stocky gnome reinforce this item with extra padding to better withstand underground hazards.

Better AC against all things indoor. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Insectoid Armour

Armour piece id: You see an unknown magician enchanting this armour. Behind him, you see a few cages of small captured thraxi drones.

Better AC against insectoids. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Magic Resistance Armour

Armour piece id: An unknown magician casts a spell over this object while a gnome watches with avid interest. To one side lies more items of similar make.

Gives +115 magic resistance. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC as well as full resistance. If you use each piece separately, you will receive +10 resistance per piece.

Outdoor Armour

Armour piece id: You see a particularly hardy looking gnome take this item home from the blacksmith. He then modifies it to be more comfortable, flexible and suited to the outdoors.

Better AC against all things outdoors. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Resistances Armour

Armour piece id: You see a solemn looking wizard spend weeks on this object, casting enchantments over it.

Gives +65 magic and poison resistance, +55 fire and cold resistance, as well as +5 parry and riposte.

Rogue Armour

Armour piece id: You see a smith adjusting the armour to make it much more flexible for a nimble person, while a slight looking gnome watches on anxiously.

Gives +55 parry and riposte. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Spell Points Steal Armour

Armour piece id: You see a blindfolded man in a dark room touch this armour and concentrate hard. He looks much more tired afterwards

Drains your opponents mental energies. Note that you do not require a full set of ironwood armour to gain the bonus.

Undead Armour

Armour piece id: You see a gnomish priestess of some sort pray to her god to enchant this. It glows white for a moment then goes back to normal.

Better AC against undead and and to a lesser extent, demons. You do not require a full set for the effect, though more pieces garner higher AC.

Statistics

Analysis of all armours between 16th October 2007 and 9th May 2008 (105 reboots)

Armour Number of appearances
Fire 15
Dodger 11
Spellpoints	11
Drunkard	9
Insectoid	9
Human 8
Resistances	8
Outdoors	7
Rogue 7
Magic 6
Undead 6
Underground	4
Equine 3
Indoors 1
Total 105

It appears that the likelyhood of getting certain armours is far greater than some armours.

Evals

From a full set of dodger on 2 August 2014. Evals from a recent set of sp drain were the same, not sure about weights though. Will check another reboot.

Eval unworn is probably the same as worn singly, will remove the 'unworn' column after confirmation of this. (Didn't start checking this until the full set dude wandered off)
