Poison here refers to the affliction of generic poison, an ailment common enough to have its own space reserved in "score".
Getting Poisoned
There are many ways to get poisoned. Eating nightshade, getting hit by a poisoned weapon, being wounded by a poisonous NPC, and setting off a treasure hunt chest trap are just a few of them.
Poison Cures
Item | Location | Cost | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Antidote | Various | 200 per root (free if foraged) | Distilled from ginseng root using copper tubing (max 2 roots per bottle). |
An azure potion | Mystic Fair | 600 | Buy from Thymwen in the tent 3 north from entrance |
Cleric players | Just a shout away | Varies | Prayers to slow and neutralize poison. |
A permadra root | Picked in Prehistoric Valley | Free | These seem a little weak and are slower-acting than most other cures. It took two roots to go from Poisoned to Unpoisoned. |
A strange leaf | Bog south of Issla village | Free | NOTE: exa leaf before eating. The ones with a soft reddish hue are poison CURE. The ones with a soft yellow hue are POISON. |
A vibrant yellow leaf | Dymwood Gnomes | Free | Eat it. |
A yellow beetle | Issla village | Free | Found in the bog to the south. Eat it. |
A yellow mushroom | Silent Grove | Free | Pick from the patch, eat it up. |
A yellow potion | Nepeth | 500 | Buy from Shanni. Sometimes also available in shops, as they can be found in treasure hunt chests and sold. |
A yellow root | Manspiders | Free | Chew it. Takes about a minute to take effect, and may need two roots to get from Poisoned to Unpoisoned. |
Additional information
Poison can be fatal! Do not laze around expecting it to go away on its own. If poison is a common problem for you, you may want to consider taking the Poison Resistant trait. This will both boost your poison resistance and cause the effects of poison to fade away over time.
